As of Friday, April 7, 2000 all web pages run/created by WorldMaker, Shrink-Rapid, or similar brands/sister companies thereof are on indefinite hold, with a few exceptions, most notably, the Realm of Abstarcia web site hosted at 2dAdventures.

Why is this necessary?

First, because WorldMaker says so. Second, other, larger projects have gotten in the way of progress. Instead of making the pages appear "dead", WorldMaker is placing this notice on all sites to make sure people understand that things are happening behind-the-curtain, so to speak.

What are these large projects?

WorldMaker is afraid to divulge too much information at this point. The one project he is willing to let a little information slip, is the main reason for this lapse of development. The project is similar to the ROCKET project that he has hinted at from time to time, however, the project has been completely reshod and is completely different from ROCKET. In fact, the project has a different name altogether. This project will be written in PHP3 and, although, not GPLed will be open source in some fashion, especially since this is dictated by the language. WorldMaker would love to have help on this project, and if you are interested and willing to work, he may be willing to divulge more info to you on a personal basis.

What if I want more information about the website I was going to visit?

Many of the older sites will be available in archived forms, but, beware that information stated on these pages is not up-to-date and may have since changed.

What about DRAGONzine?

This is the one WorldMaker spent a lot of time wondering whether to put on hold as well, and he decided he must. He won't have as much to place in it, most likely, and the newer edition was stopped half-finished and WorldMaker would rather stuff his head in a jar of rabid squirrels than work with the older version again.

However, he would still like the stories available, so both versions are archived.

What about SoftWorlds/Yggdrasil?

Like DRAGONzine, the new edition never got off the ground. The old version was SUPER, and COMPLETELY out of date, and is not archived. The new one will be, though there is almost nothing there. Abstarcia is still 'living'.

WorldMaker Online?

Dead. Totally. However, it will be combined with DRAGONzine when all has settled back down.
